About The Position

Under the supervision of the Radiology Supervisor, Clinical Instructors, and Staff Technologists, the Intern will be responsible for learning to assist with assigned radiographic procedures and related procedures for diagnostic interpretation. The intern will learn to perform radiographic procedures, document inventory of materials and supplies used in the related services, and attend inservice education programs for radiology procedures. Upon completion of the internship, the intern should be able to meet the minimum, basic competencies of a Radiologic Technologist per Job Description Code: 817. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• A strong science and math background.
• Effective interpersonal skills are required.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of college is preferred.
