About The Position

The Imaging Department is currently recruiting for a Full-Time Radiology Education Coordinator to work at our Newark Hospital. ChristianaCare is a nonprofit health system with a mission of service. Requirements

  • Associate degree in Radiologic Technology, Medical Imaging, or related healthcare field.
  • Current certification and registration through American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or equivalent credentialing body within diagnostic imaging.
  • Current state licensure is required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • BLS Instructor preferred or obtained within 1 year

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and evaluate orientation programs for newly hired imaging staff.
  • Develop annual education plans and competency assessments for imaging personnel.
  • Coordinate continuing education opportunities to maintain professional certifications and licensure requirements.
  • Deliver classroom, virtual, and hands-on clinical instruction.
  • Develop competency-based learning modules for all imaging modalities.
  • Create educational materials, training guides, and learning resources.
  • Facilitate onboarding and preceptorship programs for new employees.
  • Monitor compliance with mandatory training requirements.
  • Support cross-training initiatives across imaging modalities when appropriate.
  • Provide coaching and remediation plans for staff requiring additional support in training and/or educational requirements.
  • Ensure educational programs align with regulatory standards and accreditation requirements.
  • Support standardization of imaging procedures across the department.
  • Mentor technologists, students, and clinical instructors.
  • Promote professional growth and career advancement opportunities.
  • Coordinate leadership development programs for imaging staff.
  • Partner with academic institutions to support student clinical experiences.
