About The Position
The Newark Hospital Imaging department is seeking a FT Imaging Tech Assistant to support our Ultrasound team. This role is responsible for providing patient care and assisting technical staff with imaging procedures, communications, and patient needs. The position also involves escorting patients, preparing imaging rooms and supplies, and performing clerical duties. A strong emphasis is placed on superior customer service skills.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Two years related to medical environment experience.
- An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care and assist technical staff with imaging procedures, communications and patient needs
- Assist with escorting patients to and from imaging department.
- Prepare imaging rooms and supplies for procedures.
- Clerical duties as needed.
- Superior performance in Customer Service Skills.
