The Radiology Coordinator will manage calls from physicians, verify identities, relay results, or connect to radiologists. This role acts as a liaison between the hospital, clinical contacts, and radiologists. Responsibilities include ensuring exams are ready for interpretation by attaching prior exams, notes, and documents, monitoring worklists, balancing workload, and assisting in locating specialty resources. The position also involves maintaining a safe work environment, reporting issues, and orienting new staff.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of healthcare and radiology information systems.
  • Proficiency in navigating PACS, RIS, and voice recognition systems is essential.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree in healthcare, administration or 2+ years of experience in healthcare operations preferred.
