About The Position
Saint Joseph Hospital is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Clinical Associate (Area: Radiology) to join our Radiology team. In this role, you will support CT/Rad Technologists in delivering high-quality imaging services while ensuring a safe, patient-centered experience. This is an excellent opportunity for a radiologic technology student or recent graduate to gain hands-on clinical experience in a collaborative hospital environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must be a current second-year student or graduate of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program
- Current BLS/CPR certification required
- Foundational knowledge of radiographic imaging and techniques
- Strong analytical and organizational skills to support Radiology operations
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact compassionately with patients and collaborate effectively with healthcare teams
- Commitment to safety, quality, and patient-centered care
Responsibilities
- Assist Radiology Technologists in performing radiographic procedures under direct supervision
- Support patient positioning and safely assist or hold patients during imaging procedures
- Prepare exam rooms and patients prior to procedures, including fluoroscopy exams
- Assist Radiologists and Technologists during imaging and interventional procedures
- Transport patients to and from the Radiology department safely and efficiently
- Perform general support functions, including: Answering phones and relaying messages, Obtaining and communicating orders (including verbal orders), Preparing images and reports upon request
- Operate and demonstrate knowledge of radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment, including portable units and image viewing systems
- Produce high-quality diagnostic images while adhering to ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) radiation safety principles
- Maintain a safe environment for patients and staff, including proper use of positioning devices
