This is a full-time teleradiology opportunity reading for a well-established Veterans healthcare system in Providence, Rhode Island. The position is performed 100% remotely from anywhere in the United States. Two diagnostic radiologists are needed to cover a Monday–Friday daytime window. The schedule is flexible and can be split into staggered eight-hour blocks, built as four ten-hour days, or arranged as full-window days balanced by days off. Physicians who prefer to read on site in Providence are welcome to do so, but on-site work is entirely optional. This assignment offers a fully remote work environment with no relocation, commute, or travel requirement. A single full, unrestricted state license is accepted. It is daytime reading only, with overnight studies handled by a separate national teleradiology service. Call is optional and not required, averaging about one technologist phone call per week for those who opt-in. Mammography is not performed at this facility. The facility utilizes modern imaging equipment including 3T MRI, two 128-slice CT scanners, four ultrasound units, nuclear medicine (SPECT/CT and D-SPECT), general radiology and fluoroscopy, with a new imaging wing and additional equipment coming online. The Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) is Philips Vue. The workload is described as long-term, stable, and predictable, rather than the high-burn pace of commercial teleradiology.
