About The Position

University of Pittsburgh Physicians seeks Radiologists – Abdominal Imaging for multiple openings in Pittsburgh, PA. The position involves diagnosing and treating illnesses and injuries of the abdominal system using advanced imaging equipment. Radiologists assess patients’ medical histories, review test results, and address questions and concerns from patients and their families. They work with technicians to prepare patients for imaging procedures, conduct and interpret tests, make diagnoses, and develop treatment plans. The role also includes providing minimally invasive interventions and participating in the teaching of residents, medical students, and fellows. Some telemedicine coverage is required.

Requirements

• Medical degree (M.D., D.O.), or equivalent.
• Completion of residency training in Radiology.
• Completion of fellowship training in Body Imaging or Abdominal Imaging.
• A valid Pennsylvania medical license or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries of the abdominal system using advanced imaging equipment.
• Assess patients’ medical histories, review test results, and address concerns and questions from patients and their families.
• Work with technicians to prepare patients for imaging procedures, including X-ray, ultrasound, CT, MRI, and fluoroscopy; conduct and interpret tests, make diagnoses, and develop treatment plans.
• Provide minimally invasive interventions, including joint injections and biopsies.
• Participate in teaching residents, medical students, and fellows.
• Provide some telemedicine coverage.
