The Department of Radiology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, a Harvard Medical School affiliate, is seeking a radiologist to join its Abdominal Imaging and Interventions Section. The section has a longstanding history of scholarship and innovation in MRI, CT, ultrasound, and image-guided procedures. The successful candidate will contribute to research, education, and clinical operations within a highly collaborative and collegial group. The section comprises 15 faculty members, an ACGME-accredited fellowship with six ACGME abdominal fellows and two dedicated body MRI fellows per year, and four advanced practitioners. Hospital-based facilities span two main campuses in Boston's Longwood Medical area, within a five-minute walk of each other. They include seven clinical MRI scanners, 44 clinical ultrasound machines, 12 CT scanners, and two procedural CT suites. The research division uses a 3T research MRI scanner and a small-animal MRI scanner and works closely with clinical faculty. Current research areas include translational MRI, clinical CT and MRI research, quality and safety, healthcare outcomes research, and AI. The section also maintains close collaborative relationships with referring services.
