About The Position

The Radiologic Technologist performs routine radiographic procedures in the main department and all satellite areas. The role requires knowledge of diagnostic radiographic equipment used in the department and satellite areas, as well as radiology drugs such as contrast media and bowel preparations.

Requirements

• Graduate of an American Medical Association-approved two-year Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum of two years of experience as a Staff Radiology Technologist; experience in a comparable hospital setting is preferred.
• Current New York State license in Radiologic Technology.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).
• Knowledge of diagnostic radiographic equipment used in the department and satellite areas.
• Knowledge of radiology drugs, including contrast media and bowel preparations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of customer service principles and processes.
• Time management skills.
• Basic computer and data entry skills.

Nice To Haves

• Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Experience in a comparable hospital setting.
