Radiological (Radiographic) Technology Program Coordinator 20% / Assistant Professor 80%
About The Position
This position involves a dual role: 20% as a Radiological Technology Program Coordinator and 80% as an Assistant Professor. The faculty member is responsible for coordinating instructional programs and/or teaching assigned classes under the supervision of the area dean. Key duties include helping students achieve their potential, assessing learning outcomes, maintaining up-to-date knowledge in their field, pursuing professional development, utilizing current technology, upholding professional conduct and ethics, assisting with curriculum development and review, serving on college committees, participating in faculty governance, and fulfilling other responsibilities assigned by the area dean. The proportion of duties for each role will be determined by student, department, and program needs. The coordinator assignment includes providing leadership for the Radiologic Technology Program's master plan, delivering high-quality instruction, leading program and faculty meetings, developing and implementing assessment plans, evaluating student learning outcomes, coordinating radiation monitoring records, ensuring compliance with accreditation standards and safety regulations, updating curriculum, overseeing equipment maintenance, collaborating with faculty and the Clinical Coordinator for clinical experiences, refining the program's mission and goals, managing workload distribution, conducting performance reviews, and leading recruitment efforts. The instructional assignment may include teaching various radiologic technology courses.
Requirements
- Have a bachelor’s degree AND two years of occupational and/or professional experience directly related to the teaching assignment, OR have an associate’s degree AND six years of occupational and/or professional experience directly related to the teaching assignment; OR , the equivalent.
- All degrees must be from an accredited institution and completed by date of hire.
- Hold a current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (AART) certification and registration or the equivalent, in radiography.

- Delivering high-quality instruction by preparing and teaching courses each semester
- Leading regular program and faculty meetings
- Developing and implementing a comprehensive assessment plan
- Evaluating student learning outcomes at course, programmatic, and institutional levels
- Coordinating radiation monitoring records with the Clinical Coordinator
- Ensuring compliance with accreditation standards, program outcomes, and effectiveness data
- Upholding all safety regulations, particularly radiation safety protocols
- Continuously reviewing and updating the Radiologic Technology Program’s curriculum
- Providing oversight for the maintenance, calibration, and functionality of all Program equipment
- Working with regulatory and accreditation bodies to maintain compliance
- Collaborating with faculty and the Clinical Coordinator to ensure students receive quality clinical experiences
- Developing, implementing, and continuously refining the Program’s mission, vision, goals, and objectives
- Managing and overseeing the workload distribution among Program faculty
- Conducting annual performance reviews and setting clear goals for faculty and affiliated personnel
- Leading recruitment and retention efforts
- Supporting curricular and programmatic initiatives
- Ensuring that all Program, College, and University policies and procedures are upheld
- Performing other duties as assigned by the Dean
