About The Position

St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring a Reg Radiologic Tech located within the Radiology dept at Edgewood. Shift/Hours: Full-Time - Friday & Saturday Night 7pm-730am or Friday/Sat/Sun 1030p to 7a. The X-Ray Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety, image quality, and regulatory compliance. This role operates radiographic equipment efficiently and safely, selects appropriate exposure factors to minimize radiation exposure, and produces high-quality diagnostic images for interpretation by the Radiologist. Responsibilities include obtaining and documenting patient information, accurately coding and charging procedures, utilizing electronic medical record and imaging systems in compliance with HIPAA standards, and maintaining adherence to state, federal, and accreditation requirements. The technologist also participates in quality assurance and quality improvement activities, performs routine equipment maintenance and cleaning, reports equipment issues as needed, and supports the delivery of exceptional patient care in a collaborative healthcare environment.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved accredited program of Radiologic Technology.
  • CPR certified.
  • ARRT(R) registered or eligible.
  • Kentucky KBMIRT Radiation Operator's License - Radiography (Temporary or Permanent).
  • Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) License – (Radiologic Technologist or Radiology Student Permit).
  • Excellent understanding of radiation protection of patients, peers, and self.
  • Competence in routine, fluoroscopic, surgical and trauma radiography.
  • Adequate clinical experience from an approved program.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate has 12 months from the issuance of a Temporary KBMIRT Radiation Operator’s License – Radiography to obtain ARRT(R).
  • Associate has 6 months from the issuance of a Radiology Student Permit to obtain ARRT(R).
