About The Position

Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) is seeking a Radiologic Technologist PRN-1 to join their Radiology - Diagnostic team in Nashville, Tennessee. The technologist will assume responsibility for designated areas, personnel, and procedures as needed, reporting directly to the Asst. Director of Imaging. The primary goal is to deliver efficient, high-quality services and exams within departmental protocols and guidelines. Responsibilities include maintaining supplies, rooms, and equipment, ensuring the protection and safety of oneself, patients, and coworkers, and maintaining high technical competence. Participation in specific training and on-call coverage for the modality is also required. This position is part of the allied health professions, which are crucial to Vanderbilt Health's reputation for excellence and patient care.

Requirements

At least 2 years of experience
Registered in more than one modality (e.g. may be registered in CT, MR, Mammography, Bone Densitometry, etc.)
Graduate of an approved discipline specific program
LIC-American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Licensure-Others
Relevant Work Experience
Experience Level : 1 year

Responsibilities

Responsible for taking X-rays of areas being examined
Provide the images to doctors and other medical personnel
Communicate with the rest of the care team as needed
Ensuring that patients are comfortable and safe
