About The Position
Performs radiographic procedures at a technical level requiring sound understanding of anatomical positioning and physiology; a high degree of technical competency and with the ability to act with initiative and ingenuity with minimum supervision. Apply ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis in adult and/or pediatric radiology.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
- Zero to two years of modality specific work experience.
- Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 6 months of hire.
- Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association is required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
Nice To Haves
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform medical exams using X-rays on patients to create images of specific parts of the body. The images are then interpreted by a doctor for diagnosis and monitoring of disease.
