About The Position

Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) is seeking a Radiologic Technologist PRN-1 to join their Radiology - Diagnostic team in Nashville, Tennessee. This role involves performing a variety of technical procedures using ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis, with a focus on advanced modalities and requiring at least two years of experience. The technologist will assume responsibility for designated areas, personnel, and procedures as needed, reporting directly to the Asst. Director of Imaging. The position demands the delivery of efficient, high-quality services, ensuring exams are performed within departmental protocols and guidelines. Responsibilities include maintaining supplies, rooms, and equipment, and ensuring the safety of oneself, patients, and coworkers. High standards of technical competence and participation in necessary training are expected. This role also includes on-call coverage for the modality as an essential job requirement.

Requirements

At least 2 years of experience
Graduate of an approved discipline specific program
LIC-American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Licensure-Others
Relevant Work Experience
Experience Level : 1 year

Nice To Haves

Registered in more than one modality (e.g. may be registered in CT, MR, Mammography, Bone Densitometry, etc.)

Responsibilities

Responsible for taking X-rays of areas being examined
Provide the images to doctors and other medical personnel
Communicate with the rest of the care team as needed
Ensuring that patients are comfortable and safe
Employee is responsible for the individual modality(s) they are certified to perform
Employee may work in more than one modality as needed
