About The Position

This position involves working under the direct supervision of a technologist on duty, performing duties effectively and efficiently. The role requires the ability to use independent judgment to acquire optimal diagnostic information during examinations. The technologist is expected to communicate the hospital's mission, ethics, and goals, as well as the department's focus statement, while maintaining patient confidentiality at all times. Professional oral and written communication skills are essential.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in an approved two-year Radiologic Technology Program.
  • Must be classified as Senior or second year student which will be registry eligible upon graduation.
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Emotional and physical health sufficient to meet the demands of the position.
  • Requires standing and walking.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Communicates the mission, ethics and goals of the hospital, as well as the focus statement of the department.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Works under direct supervision of technologist on duty and performs duties effectively and efficiently.
  • Uses independent judgment to acquire the optimum diagnostic information in each examination performed.
  • Possesses professional oral and written communication skills.
