About The Position
The Radiologic Technologist performs physician-ordered diagnostic radiology tests safely and effectively. The position serves IBJI’s Near North Region locations in Bannockburn, Morton Grove, and Glenview. Weekends are required; holidays and call are not required. Hours vary between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in radiologic technology from an accredited school, or two years of experience in a directly related area.
- Valid state Radiologic Technologist license.
- Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification.
- Knowledge of computer systems, such as PACS, and Microsoft Word, Excel, and other software.
- Effective written and verbal communication.
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and assist patients as needed for proper positioning.
Nice To Haves
- Two years of experience in a directly related area.
Responsibilities
- Perform radiology procedures in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Assist in maintaining appropriate department equipment and supplies.
- Maintain documentation of patient testing information.
- Complete other comparable duties and assignments as directed by the Radiology Manager.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
