Radiologic Technologist I, Hugh Chatham
About The Position
Hugh Chatham Health is seeking a Full Time Radiologic Technologist I for their Orthopedics department located at 400 Johnson Ridge Medical Park, Elkin, NC. The schedule is Monday - Thursday from 8 am - 5 pm and Friday from 8 am - 1 pm. This position is benefits eligible and involves performing and assisting with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, documenting patient history, confirming patient identification, preparing and administering contrast media, consulting with radiologists and physicians, selecting and operating equipment, and maintaining appropriate records.
Requirements
- Graduate of an institution accredited by an agency that ARRT recognizes in Radiologic Technology
- Must be registry eligible with registry completion within 1 year of hire date.
- BLS required

Responsibilities
- Performs and assists with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
- Documents patient history pertaining to specific procedure on requisition submitted by physician.
- Confirms patient identification by verbal confirmation and validating proof of identity.
- Prepares and administers contrast media as required.
- Consults with radiologist and other physicians as necessary.
- Selects and operates equipment as dictated by demands of individual procedure and demonstrates correct and adequate anatomic positioning skills.
- Maintains appropriate records as required by departmental standards.
