About The Position

Hugh Chatham Health Orthopedics is seeking a Full Time Radiologic Technologist I to join their team at the Johnson Ridge Medical Park in Elkin, NC. This role involves performing and assisting with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, documenting patient history, preparing and administering contrast media, and operating equipment. The technologist will ensure correct patient identification and maintain appropriate records. This position is eligible for benefits and offers a competitive pay range.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an institution accredited by an agency that ARRT recognizes in Radiologic Technology
  • Must be registry eligible with registry completion within 1 year of hire date.
  • BLS required

Responsibilities

  • Performs and assists with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
  • Documents patient history pertaining to specific procedure on requisition submitted by physician.
  • Confirms patient identification by verbal confirmation and validating proof of identity.
  • Prepares and administers contrast media as required.
  • Consults with radiologist and other physicians as necessary.
  • Selects and operates equipment as dictated by demands of individual procedure and demonstrates correct and adequate anatomic positioning skills.
  • Maintains appropriate records as required by departmental standards.
