About The Position

The Radiologic Technologist Assistant supports Radiologic Technologists by preparing patients for imaging procedures, maintaining radiology equipment, managing supplies, and ensuring a clean and safe work environment. The role assists with patient positioning, documentation, and workflow efficiency while following applicable safety and regulatory standards to support high-quality diagnostic imaging services. The position is full-time on day shifts.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) Healthcare Provider Completion Card required before the start date and maintained.
• Effective time management and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a stressful environment and respond to life-threatening situations.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in patient care or customer service.
• At least one year of general office experience.
• Prior radiology experience.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient positioning under the supervision of a Technologist or Sonographer.
• Transport patients using stretchers, wheelchairs, and beds in accordance with safety procedures and handoff communication processes.
• Stock and disinfect exam rooms and equipment and prepare them for the next patient.
• Maintain a safe environment for patients, team members, and self.
• Follow Federal, State, and Regional healthcare regulations and Joint Commission standards.
• Provide accurate and timely assistance to the technologist or sonographer.
• Adapt to workflow changes and organizational needs based on fluctuations in patient volume.
• Communicate effectively with patients, LP, other Health First associates, and the public, using excellent customer relations skills.
• Use supplies and equipment safely, proficiently, carefully, and cost-effectively.
