About The Position

The Radiographer performs diagnostic radiologic examinations under the guidance of an Imaging Supervisor. The role includes assisting physicians with radiologic procedures, preparing examinations for interpretation, maintaining radiation safety, and managing supplies. The Radiographer also supports continuity of care, quality assurance, and patient safety.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology from an AMA-approved school.
• Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
• Maintain licensure requirements with the state of Ohio.
• Maintain annual CPR certification/When Seconds Count certification.
• Working knowledge of computer programs.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to establish working relationships with internal and external customers.
• Strong organizational and critical-thinking skills, and ability to make independent decisions.

Nice To Haves

• Previous staff radiographer experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document diagnostic radiographic examinations upon the order of an approved healthcare provider.
• Ensure appropriate handoff and continuity-of-care communication to the next caregiver.
• Analyze radiographic examinations for quality control purposes.
• Prepare completed examinations for interpretation by the radiologist.
• Operate radiographic equipment and facility-based computer systems.
• Administer oral and intravenous contrast media under physician direction and according to established protocols.
• Transport, move, and position patients safely and appropriately.
• Assist physicians with special procedures involving radiography.
• Participate in quality assurance activities related to radiographic care.
• Maintain radiation safety and manage supplies.
• Demonstrate empathy, integrity, stewardship, agility, and teamwork in interactions with patients, families, coworkers, and other customers.
• Support quality improvement, safety, service, sustainability, organizational commitment, personal commitment, and ongoing learning.
