About The Position

Driscoll Children's Hospital is seeking a Radiographer for its Main Campus in Corpus Christi, Texas. This full-time position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. The Radiographer performs diagnostic radiographic examinations and provides safe, high-quality, patient-centered care. The role works closely with physicians, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to produce accurate imaging that supports timely diagnosis and treatment. The hospital welcomes experienced Radiographers and people beginning their careers who want to grow professionally while supporting pediatric healthcare.

Requirements

Associate's degree or equivalent from an accredited radiologic technology program.
Registered or registry eligible as a Radiologic Technologist (RT-R) through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Registry-eligible candidates must obtain ARRT registration within one year of hire.
Current, unrestricted Texas Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist (CMRT) license required.
Current CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations, ensuring high-quality images and accurate patient positioning.
Review physician orders, verify patient identification, and select appropriate imaging techniques based on patient needs.
Follow established radiation safety protocols to protect patients, families, and healthcare personnel.
Assess and monitor patients throughout imaging procedures, making adjustments as needed to ensure safety and diagnostic accuracy.
Communicate clearly with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare team members.
Evaluate images for quality and determine whether additional imaging is needed.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of imaging procedures and patient care.
Assist with equipment quality assurance, safety checks, and departmental improvement initiatives.
