About The Position

Under immediate supervision, the Radiographer Student performs diagnostic cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology procedures as directed by a physician and approved by an instructor or preceptor. The student assists with diagnostic, interventional, and/or surgical procedures in invasive and non-invasive care settings, prepares patients, and performs procedures using the equipment, technologies, techniques, and practices associated with the student's primary specialty, following established clinical practice standards, guidelines, and protocols. The role also maintains department records, reports, and files; orders and stocks supplies; and ensures the procedure area is clean and ready for the next patient. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in an accredited cardiovascular or radiologic technology program.
Current BLS upon hire.
Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology.
Knowledge of diagnostic cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology procedures.
Ability to operate equipment associated with the primary specialty in which the student is being trained.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients and other staff members.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

Maintain department records, reports, and files.
Order and stock supplies and ensure the procedure area is clean and ready for the next patient.
Perform other duties as assigned.
