This position involves the installation, service, maintenance, and removal of mobile two-way radio communications systems, mobile computing hardware, structured wiring systems, and emergency lights and siren equipment in Chesterfield County vehicles. The role also includes supporting the county's public safety radio communications by programming, troubleshooting, and evaluating hand-held radios and installed vehicle radios operating on the county's 800MHz trunking system. Additional duties include project support related to public safety vehicle equipment and communications, such as bracket fabrication, and performing other required work.
