About The Position

As a Radiation Therapist Technician, you will provide prescribed radiation therapy to patients of all age groups. You will deliver the doses of radiation therapy, position patients, explain the procedure, and answer any questions. You will work with physicists, dosimetrists, nursing staff and physicians during treatment to ensure the best patient care. You will also coordinate support services like social work and dietary. Requirements

  • Associate degree in Radiation Therapy
  • Ohio Radiologic License required to work in Ohio
  • ARRT
  • CPR

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors of Radiation Therapy
  • Knowledge of Varian equipment/software, EPIC
  • 1+ year as a working RT
  • Simulation experience
  • Ohio Radiologic License
  • ARRT
  • CPR

Responsibilities

  • Applies the necessary knowledge and skills to provide care to patients across all age groups (infant, pediatric, adult, and geriatric).
  • Demonstrates sensitivity to the physical, emotional, and socio-psychological needs of all patients while delivering care.
  • Delivers prescribed doses of radiation therapy, positions patients, answers questions, and explains procedures as needed.
  • Works with physicists, dosimetrists, nursing staff, and physicians during treatment, coordinating support services like social work and dietary.
  • Maintains department policies, quality assurance programs, and safety standards, and participates in process improvement efforts.
  • Possible to Float to cover volumes/staffing at off sites
