About The Position

As a Radiation Therapist Technician, you will provide prescribed radiation therapy to patients of all age groups. You will deliver the doses of radiation therapy, position patients, explain the procedure, and answer any questions. You will work with physicists, dosimetrists, nursing staff and physicians during treatment to ensure the best patient care. You will also coordinate support services like social work and dietary. This role applies the necessary knowledge and skills to provide care to patients across all age groups (infant, pediatric, adult, and geriatric). You will demonstrate sensitivity to the physical, emotional, and socio-psychological needs of all patients while delivering care. You will maintain department policies, quality assurance programs, and safety standards, and participate in process improvement efforts.

Requirements

Associate degree in Radiation Therapy
Ohio Radiologic License to work in Ohio
ARRT Certification
CPR Certification

Nice To Haves

Bachelors of Radiation Therapy
Knowledge of Varian equipment/software
Knowledge of EPIC
1+ year as a working RT
Simulation experience
Possible to Float to cover volumes/staffing at off sites

Responsibilities
