About The Position

Responsible for the simulation and administration of radiation therapy by using a CT scanner and linear accelerator while following the prescription of a radiation oncologist. The position is PRN, with a standard shift of 8 am-4:30 pm, but this may vary due to patient volume. There are no weekend, call, or holiday responsibilities. The role is located at the O'Fallon Cancer Center in O'Fallon, IL.

Requirements

Associates in Radiation Therapy or graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy program is required.
Associates Degree required for those graduating from Radiation Therapy program after 12/31/14.
IEMA-Radiation Therapy (Illinois Emergency Management Association) is required in Illinois.
Basic Life Support (BLS) is required within 30 days of hire.
ARRT registered in radiation therapy or successful completion of a Radiation Therapy program and eligible to take the certification exam in Radiation Therapy as defined by the American Registration of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).
Colleague must complete and pass a certification and registration exam in accordance with the eligibility requirements of ARRT within one year of hire.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor of Science in Radiation Therapy is preferred.
One year experience in Radiation Therapy is preferred.
