About The Position

Assumes the responsibility of delivering the prescribed daily treatment, billing, scheduling, and teaching of Radiation Oncology patients. Participate in quality assurance measures, documents and monitors patients as they are treated. Assume duties as assigned.

Requirements

Associate Degree in Radiation Therapy required
1 year experience in a patient care setting (Radiology Department) or previous Radiation Therapy preferred
New Graduate must be board eligible
ARRT Radiography Certification - Certified Radiation Therapy (T) (ARRT) required

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's Degree in Radiation Therapy preferred

Responsibilities

Delivering the prescribed daily treatment
Billing
Scheduling
Teaching of Radiation Oncology patients
Participating in quality assurance measures
Documenting and monitoring patients as they are treated
Performing other duties as assigned
Documenting and submitting required information and data in a timely fashion
Clearly and accurately documenting designated processes, policies, products, service offerings, etc.
Ensuring that documentation is tailored to expected readers / users
Using correct terminology
Conforming to required style and format
Demonstrating technical skill in using equipment appropriate for role
Understanding equipment operation
Maintaining equipment in working order
Troubleshooting equipment problems
Using technology to increase productivity
Adapting to new technology
Adhering to the hospital and departmental attendance and punctuality guidelines
Performing all job responsibilities in alignment with the core values, mission and vision of the organization
Performing other duties as required and completing all job functions as per departmental policies and procedures
Maintaining current knowledge in present areas of responsibility (i.e., self education, attends ongoing educational programs)
Attending staff meetings and completing mandatory in-services and requirements and competency evaluations on time
Demonstrating competency at all levels in providing care to all patients based on age, sex, weight, and demonstrated needs
Wearing protective clothing and equipment as appropriate
