About The Position

An established radiation oncology practice in Southwest Florida is seeking a Florida-licensed Radiation Therapist for a PRN position. The Radiation Therapist administers radiation treatments and ensures that applicable standards and practices prescribed by a physician are followed. The role also involves ensuring compliance with facility regulations and specific guidelines and requirements. TrueBeam experience is preferred.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited radiation therapy school or college.
• Be a registered Radiation Therapist and hold ARRT registration and certification.
• Obtain a State of Florida license by the start date.
• Hold CPR certification.

Nice To Haves

• TrueBeam experience.
• Experience with Varian machines.

Responsibilities

• Review patient history, physician orders, and radiation therapy treatment plans.
• Educate patients about procedures, equipment, and examinations to support their understanding and cooperation.
• Deliver therapy according to the treatment plan and physician’s prescription.
• Prepare equipment and supplies.
• Implement safety standards and perform appropriate equipment quality-control procedures.
• Lead the team of therapists in areas including schedules, training, and coverage.
• Comply with facility regulations, guidelines, and requirements.
