Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, is seeking Radiation Therapists to provide care to cancer patients as part of a team of more than 100 therapists. The practice treats more than 5,000 patients annually and provides photon and proton therapy, brachytherapy, orthovoltage, gamma knife, and intraoperative radiation therapy (IORT). Therapists collaborate with physicians, physicists, dosimetrists, nurses, and social workers. Career opportunities within Radiation Oncology include lead roles, trainer or clinical preceptor, supervisory and management positions, Medical Dosimetrist Assistant, billing specialist, IT and applications support, committee and project work, and research. A sign-on bonus of up to $30,000 is available, depending on shift and experience. Relocation assistance of up to $10,000 is also available. New graduates and experienced therapists are encouraged to apply. Mayo Clinic offers competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, continuing education, and advancement opportunities.
