About The Position

Mobile Health Team Inc. is seeking an experienced Radiation Therapist - Oncology for a 13-week travel assignment in Pittsfield, MA. The role involves administering radiation treatments, simulations, dosimetry functions, and fabricating blocks. The therapist will work under the supervision of the Radiation Oncologist, manage daily treatment schedules, and ensure adherence to safety protocols. This position requires initiative, independent judgment, and the ability to function proficiently in a high-stress environment. Collaboration with reception, nursing, and physician staff is essential for patient care. Attendance at all mandatory education sessions is required.

Requirements

  • Must have 2+ years Radiation Therapy experience
  • Traveler must have their own vehicle for this assignment
  • Must have Active American Registration of Radiologic Technologists ARRT
  • Must have and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification during employment
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Willingness to participate in continuing education and training programs
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Strong communication, professionalism, and reliability
  • Drug screen and background check (facility required)
  • Additional facility onboarding forms as assigned

Responsibilities

  • Administers radiation treatments, simulations, dosimetry functions, and fabricates blocks in preparation for treatment.
  • Requires initiative and independent judgment.
  • Proper care of the client in accordance with the departmental and hospital policies and procedures is required.
  • Performs radiation therapy treatments as required in either a scheduled or emergent environment under the supervision of the Radiation Oncologist.
  • Updates procedure manuals as needed.
  • Manages daily treatment schedule of all assignments on the clinical equipment.
  • Observes and demonstrates familiarity with all safety features in each clinical area.
  • Works closely with reception, Nursing, and physician components in the provision of patient care.
  • Ability to function independently and proficiently in a high stress, work intensive environment.
  • Attendance at all mandatory education is required.
