About The Position

Mobile Health Team Inc. is seeking an experienced Mammography Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in Pittsfield, MA. This is an X-ray/Mammographer need, and candidates must be proficient in both specialties. The role involves performing a wide variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment and ingenuity, applying appropriate skills to facilitate a diagnosis, and potentially taking on supervisory or instructional responsibilities. The technologist will practice infection control, maintain patient confidentiality, and demonstrate proficiency with PACS, HIS, and RIS computer systems, as well as CR, DR, and PACS applications. Attendance at mandatory annual education and maintenance of department competencies are required.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 Years X-Ray experience, 1 year current experience required
  • Minimum 2 Years Current MAMMOGRAPHY experience
  • Must have ARRT (R) Certification
  • Must have ARRT (M) Certification
  • Must be willing to work weekends and evenings
  • Traveler must have their own vehicle for this need
  • Perm address must be included in traveler profile
  • Must have and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS)(AHA) certification during employment
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a wide variety of technical procedures, requiring independent judgment and ingenuity.
  • Requires initiative to apply appropriate skills to facilitate a diagnosis.
  • May be assigned independent responsibilities by Lead Technologist, Administrative Director, or Operations Manager.
  • Proper care of the client in accordance with the departmental and hospital policies and procedures is required.
  • May be responsible for assigned areas to assume responsibilities of supervision or instruction to department personnel as determined by Operations Manager or Lead Technologist.
  • Practices infection control and body substance isolation in clinical practice in compliance with departmental and hospital policies and OSHA standards.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Demonstrates proper operation of PACS, HIS and RIS computer systems.
  • Demonstrates ability to operate and trouble shoot CR, DR and PACs applications.
  • Attends annual mandatory education to include blood borne pathogens, infection control, and body substance isolation.
  • Maintains department competencies as required.
