About The Position

Mobile Health Team Inc. is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in Pittsfield, MA. This position involves night shifts from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM, Monday through Friday, for a total of 40 hours per week. The assignment is for 13 weeks, starting on 8/17/2026. The role requires the technologist to administer radiation treatments, simulations, dosimetry functions, and fabricate blocks. It demands initiative, independent judgment, and proper client care in accordance with departmental and hospital policies. The technologist will perform radiation therapy treatments under the supervision of a Radiation Oncologist, update procedure manuals, manage daily treatment schedules, and observe safety features. Collaboration with reception, nursing, and physician components is essential. The ability to function independently in a high-stress, work-intensive environment and attend all mandatory education is required. The department is covered by call after midnight, and possible call duties may be required. The technologist will work with another Tech Aide or MRI Tech/Traveler and will never work solo. Orientation is 8 hours non-billable. The equipment used is GE HDXT 16.0 & 23.0, with an approximate patient ratio of 9 patients per shift. Time off requests during the assignment must be noted and verified at upload; no more than 5 days of RTO will be accepted.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 Years CURRENT Magnetic Resonance Imaging/MRI experience
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ARRT (MRI) Certification is required
  • GE Equipment experience Required
  • Must be willing to work weekends and evenings
  • Must be willing to take call as needed
  • Traveler must have their own vehicle
  • Perm address must be included in traveler profile
  • Must have and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification during employment
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Administers radiation treatments, simulations, dosimetry functions, and fabricates blocks in preparation for treatment.
  • Performs radiation therapy treatments as required in either a scheduled or emergent environment under the supervision of the Radiation Oncologist.
  • Updates procedure manuals as needed.
  • Manages daily treatment schedule of all assignments on the clinical equipment.
  • Observes and demonstrates familiarity with all safety features in each clinical area.
  • Works closely with reception, Nursing, and physician components in the provision of patient care.
