Radiation Therapists are clinicians on the radiation oncology team who ensure treatments are accurate and consistent with the radiation oncologist’s prescription. They assist with linear accelerators, CT scanners, and X-ray films to localize and treat anatomical structures, and precisely position patients to minimize radiation exposure to surrounding structures. Therapists maintain visual and verbal contact with patients during treatment to support safe delivery, educate patients about treatments and simulation procedures, monitor their progress, and document care in hospital medical records systems. The Radiation Therapist I role is intended for therapists with less than four years of experience in the radiation therapy field. This per-diem, non-exempt, union position is scheduled for eight-hour day shifts. The hourly pay range is $59.00–$100.30. USC considers factors including the position’s scope and responsibilities, experience, education and training, skills, internal equity, legal and contractual requirements, funding, and market and organizational considerations when making an offer.
