About The Position

We are seeking a Radiation Oncologist for a locum tenens position in Las Cruces, NM. This role involves both inpatient and outpatient services, with clinical duties and call coverage. The coverage period is from August 21, 2026, to August 31, 2026. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. This is a supplemental coverage need. The facility is a Level 4 Trauma Center with Level 2 Pediatric services. The EMR systems used are MediTech and Mosaiq. Available office equipment includes Varian Truebeam Edge and Vitalbeam, and Eclipse treatment planning.

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible
• BLS certification
• Experience with Linear Accelerator
• Experience with Rapid Arc/VMAT
• Experience with Electrons
• Experience with Conventional/Conformal Therapy
• Experience with Intensity Modulated Radiation therapy (IMRT)
• Experience with Image Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT)
• Experience with Stereotactic Body radiation therapy (SBRT)
• Experience with Conventional treatment planning
• Experience with Beam shaping (MLC)
• Experience with 3D CRT
• Experience with IMRT
• Experience with PET CT or MRI Image Fusion
• Experience with Electronic Portal Imaging (EPI)
• Hospital Privileges Required

Responsibilities

• Supervise outpatient treatments
• Perform new patient consults
• Participate in Physician Peer Review
