Oncologist
About The Position
NRMC is seeking a Hematology/Oncology Physician to join our rural healthcare team. This role provides the opportunity to deliver compassionate cancer care and chronic blood disorder management in a community where access to oncology services is limited. The practice involves the diagnosis and treatment of solid tumors and hematologic conditions in an outpatient oncology clinic with infusion services. The physician will coordinate chemotherapy and treatment plans and collaborate with external cancer centers for advanced care, with a strong opportunity to build a vital local cancer care service. The hospital is a 71-bed rural facility with a significant regional need for oncology services, as the next closest oncology centers are located over 60 miles away. There is strong community support and a referral pipeline, with a focus on continuity and compassionate care. Clinical support includes infusion and nursing services, on-site laboratory and imaging capabilities, and referral relationships with tertiary cancer centers for multidisciplinary care coordination.
Requirements
- MD or DO with Missouri licensure eligibility
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology/Oncology
- Strong communication and patient-centered care skills

- Experience in outpatient oncology preferred
