About The Position

We are seeking a full-time (1.0 FTE) BC/BE Radiation Oncologist for our Comprehensive Cancer Center team. This position will focus on outpatient care but includes occasional inpatient consults. The department is highly collaborative and integrative, with two radiation oncologists, all surgical subspecialties, palliative care, genetics, mental health, and a survivorship clinic run by an APP. The Cancer Center has long-standing partnerships with the Metro Minnesota Community Oncology Research Consortium, participating community hospitals and clinics, and the Cancer Trials Support Unit, allowing patients access to the newest therapies. Advanced treatment capabilities include external beam radiation therapy with a Varian True Beam® unit, CT simulator, and various external beam treatment options such as 3D, IMRT with Rapid Arc®, VMAT SRS, SRT, SBRT, and Hyper ARC. An active stereotactic radiotherapy program is in place, along with Radio-isotope therapy for Thyroid cancer and bone Metastases. The team includes 2 dosimetrists, 2 Nurses, and 4 Therapists. Clinic hours are 8:00 am – 4:00 pm, with occasional care for clinical exigencies.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree.
• BC/BE to practice as a physician in Minnesota.
• Completion of an ACGME, AOA, or RCPSC accredited Residency training program in Internal Medicine.
• Completion of an ACGME, AOA, or RCPSC accredited Fellowship training program in Radiation Oncology.
