About The Position

This is a Locum Tenens position for a Radiation Oncologist at a hospital in Beckley, WV. The coverage period is from November 02, 2026, to November 01, 2027. The role involves clinical duties only, with a schedule of 3 weeks on/1 week off or 2 weeks per month during the day. The patient demographic is adults (18+), with an average of 3 new consults daily and a higher patient volume of 18-25 patients on Tuesdays. The facility uses the Cerner EMR system, and the coverage is due to retirement. A key procedure required is HDR brachytherapy.

Requirements

• Active WV license or Universal License (IMLC)
• Board Certified in Radiation Oncology required
• DEA required
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification

Responsibilities

• Provide radiation oncology consultations and develop treatment plans for new and existing patients.
• Administer radiation therapy including HDR brachytherapy procedures.
• Supervise radiation therapists, APPs, and RNs in the cancer center.
• Manage patient census of approximately 3 new consults daily and 18-25 patients on Tuesdays.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team for comprehensive cancer care.
