Radar Research Interns
About The Position
SRI International’s Advanced Technology and Systems Division (ATSD) advances research and product development in areas including radar and electronic warfare, imaging technology, robotics, quantum sensing and metrology, marine technology, and applied optics. The Ann Arbor, Michigan office is hiring Radar Research Interns to work on multidisciplinary, collaborative teams developing active and passive radar remote sensing, imaging systems, and surveillance technologies. Projects may involve advanced sensor concepts, waveform design, signal and image processing, and new exploitation methods. Graduate students are encouraged to apply their research topics and activities to projects. Interns work onsite at the office.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s, master’s, or Ph.D. degree in Physics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain a security clearance.
Nice To Haves
- Coursework in Physics, Electrical Engineering, and Mathematics.
- Some coding experience with Python, MATLAB, C, or C++.
- Experience with UNIX or Linux operating systems.
- Solid analytical ability.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to developing algorithms for processing and exploiting radar sensor data.
- Form and analyze imagery products, and develop signal-processing tools for image understanding and imagery exploitation.
- Program and develop algorithms; design and execute radar computational models and simulations; and analyze results.
