•$157,000 - $197,000

About The Position

The Radar Modes Lead Engineer will lead and manage projects in the RF/Radar team in Advanced Tech, perform radar engineering design, and manage project proposal efforts. The role leads execution of radar signal processing, modes, and software functions across radar development programs, including weather signal processing, waveform design and implementation, embedded radar software, software architecture, and future multi-mode radar capabilities. Working as a systems lead with other technical leads, this engineer establishes the technical approach and software capabilities for radar prototypes. The position calls for hands-on technical leadership of end-to-end radar signal processing, modes, and software development from concept through integrated prototype demonstration. The work includes airborne weather radar, radar mode and waveform development, signal-processing algorithms, processing hardware requirements, modeling and simulation, system architecture, prototyping, multi-mode radar development, airborne avionics processes, and phased-array radar.
