About The Position

The Radar Engineer will use electrical engineering expertise to manage the acquisition Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) process in support of radar systems. The role transforms Mission Systems requirements into improvements to radar performance across a variety of platforms. The engineer will support the Mission Systems team and work with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to improve performance and integrate advanced technologies into existing platforms.

The engineer will work with existing teams to understand challenges and collaborate with OEMs on upgrades, augment designs and algorithms to improve system performance, and contribute to the design and development of future radar technologies. The position is onsite in Patuxent River, Maryland, and requires an active Secret or Top Secret clearance.

Requirements

• Experience in radar systems.
• Knowledge of radar systems and systems integration challenges.
• Ability to work with a team of engineers to modify designs and improve system integration and warfighter capabilities.
• Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with modern Navy SPY radar systems.
• Experience with the SETR process.
• Knowledge of contracting mechanisms and Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) reporting.
• Knowledge of system targeting algorithms and test techniques.
• Ability to analyze radar designs and provide technical inputs to improve performance and integration ease.
• Top Secret clearance.
• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
