About The Position

This role involves advancing radio frequency (RF) signature analysis capability using innovative tools in a creative environment with an integrated team of radar engineers, scientists, and software developers. The engineer will participate in evolving the state of the art in high fidelity RF signature modeling, utilizing high-performance computing environments to develop detailed signature characterizations for various applications. Collaboration with model users and system engineers is expected to ensure the best use of products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent technical degree
  • At least 2 years of engineering-related experience in computational electromagnetic theory and computational methods/mathematics
  • Familiarity with Matlab, Python, or similar mathematical analysis tools
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Willingness to travel up to 5% of the time if needed
  • Able to obtain an Interim Secret level security clearance by your start date and can ultimately obtain a Top Secret level clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent technical field
  • 3+ years of professional experience in radar, aerospace, RF signatures, or other technical-related systems engineering domain
  • Strong background in Matlab, Python, or similar mathematical analysis tools
  • Leadership experience or interest in assuming leadership roles
  • Experience in CAD software (Pro-Engineer, AutoCAD, etc.).
  • Current TOP SECRET clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Use computational electromagnetics codes to develop radio frequency signatures of various radar targets.
  • Participate in developing and testing advances in computational electromagnetics codes and the development of new models of various phenomenologies.
  • Create and/or modify Computer Aided Designs (CAD) of objects to be used in various computational electromagnetics codes.
  • Plan and conduct RCS measurements of various test articles at national facilities.
