About The Position

This role is responsible for executing high-quality diagnostic films, C-arm/O-arm OR procedures, and accurate PACS submissions, including markers and patient data. The position also involves safely positioning patients, administering contrast and medications within scope, and monitoring patients for abnormal activity during procedures. Adherence to radiation safety guidelines to minimize exposure is critical, along with continuously evaluating and refining operational protocols. The role includes inspecting equipment functionality, reporting or tagging out malfunctions, and maintaining appropriate technical exposure parameters. Additionally, the Rad Tech will be responsible for keeping procedure rooms, storage areas, and dressing rooms clean, organized, and properly stocked.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
ARRT, IEMA, BLS Required

Nice To Haves

Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
Limited Radiology Technician credentialed from the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date. Any specialty accepted. Temporary ARRT license allowed in lieu of permanent license.
