Rad Tech Student, PRN
About The Position
The Rad Tech Student performs radiological procedures on patients of all age groups. Images must be reviewed by a staff technologist before they are submitted for interpretation. The student positions patients, selects the correct protocol, and uses all required equipment while maintaining competencies and following established imaging protocols. When performing exams in the ICU or surgery, the student must be accompanied by a staff technologist. The role provides quality, age-specific care and patient education and communication in accordance with prescribed standards and practices, and adheres to radiation safety policies and dose-reduction principles.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled as a second-year student in an accredited radiological technology program.
- BCLS (Basic Life Support) certification required upon hire.
- No work experience required.
