About The Position

This position involves performing patient registration, verifying insurance and demographics, rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, explaining procedures, and entering accurate information into the electronic health record. The role also includes operating radiographic equipment safely and efficiently, preparing patients and supplies, performing diagnostic imaging, and evaluating image quality according to department protocols. Additionally, the position requires performing waived laboratory testing, venipuncture, EKGs, urine drug screens, and breath alcohol testing, as well as assisting providers with minor procedures. Administrative tasks include answering phones, processing medication refill requests, ordering and stocking clinic supplies, obtaining prior authorizations, processing referrals, and scanning documentation into the electronic health record. The role also emphasizes following OMH policies and procedures to promote patient and staff safety while maintaining accurate documentation and supporting a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Requirements

  • Must have passed or is eligible for the examination of the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiography.
  • Registered technologists must be in good standing.
  • Maintains BLS certification with biannual renewal.

Nice To Haves

  • Continued employment is provisional based on completion and certification by the ARRT within six months.
