About The Position

As an Imaging Student Extern at Medical City Dallas, you will gain hands-on experience while learning from experienced team members. You will contribute to patient care and help keep patients comfortable and confident throughout their imaging experience. The role involves preparing and transporting patients, supporting imaging-room operations, communicating patient needs to the care team, and participating in learning opportunities while following safety and confidentiality standards.

Requirements

Basic Cardiac Life Support (NCTR).
Non-certified Radiological Technicians Registry must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
Associate degree.

Responsibilities

Prepare patients for imaging by obtaining histories, verifying identities, and assisting with positioning while communicating clearly and compassionately.
Safely transport patients between areas and support their comfort and emotional needs during procedures.
Set up imaging rooms, manage room turnover, and organize supplies to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient environment.
Communicate patient needs and concerns promptly to technologists and the care team.
Participate in learning opportunities and follow safety and confidentiality standards.
