About The Position

We are seeking a full-time Rad Tech Assistant to join the team. The role supports imaging services by providing courteous customer service to patients, visitors, coworkers, and guests; transporting patients when needed; checking radiologist reports and exam orders; and performing administrative duties for Imaging Services as needed. The position requires a high school diploma or GED and customer service experience.

Requirements

High school graduate or GED.
Customer service experience required.

Responsibilities

Communicate politely and respectfully with coworkers, patients, and guests.
Greet patients and visitors in a courteous, welcoming manner.
Recognize when others need assistance and offer help when workload permits.
Transport patients to and from imaging services and patient rooms when necessary.
Read radiologist reports daily and verify that the order matches the exam and the side.
Ensure addendums are sent to the radiologist.
Check daily mail and fax logs, and monitor the hand hygiene log.
Act as Imaging Services secretary when needed, including answering phones and scheduling patients as necessary.
