About The Position

Highland Hospital is seeking a full-time Xray Tech Aid to support efficient patient flow by assisting technologists and registered nurses. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent experience.
Computer skills are essential.

Nice To Haves

At least one year of radiology office experience is preferred.
Advanced computer skills, including eRecord, are preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor the patient schedule.
Ensure efficient patient flow.
Monitor the Radiology Information System to maximize patient flow.
Answer phones and take messages as appropriate.
Stock linen and supplies as needed and check expiration dates monthly.
Ensure patient safety and comfort.
Assist with transferring patients on and off the scanning table.
Assist with checking in patients.
Navigate patients throughout the continuum of care.
Escort or transport patients to and from the emergency department, waiting areas, and procedure areas.
Assist technologists and nurses with preparation for and completion of procedures.
Place stretchers in the lowest position and maintain a safe stretcher height during transfers.
Change scanning bed attachments as directed by the technologist.
Place socks on patients.
