About The Position

Highland Hospital is seeking a full-time Xray Tech Aid to assist technologists and registered nurses and support efficient patient flow. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 2:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. The role supports patient safety and comfort and helps patients move through the radiology continuum of care.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent experience.
Computer skills are essential.

Nice To Haves

A minimum of one year of radiology office experience is preferred.
Advanced computer skills, including eRecord, are preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor the patient schedule and help ensure efficient patient flow.
Monitor the Radiology Information System to maximize patient flow.
Answer the phone and take messages as appropriate.
Stock linen and supplies as needed and monitor expiration dates monthly.
Support patient safety and comfort.
Assist with transferring patients on and off the scanning table.
Assist with checking in patients.
Navigate patients throughout the continuum of care.
Escort or transport patients to and from the emergency department, waiting areas, and procedure areas.
Assist technologists and nurses with procedure preparation and completion.
Place stretchers in the lowest position and maintain a safe stretcher height during transfers.
Change scanning bed attachments as directed by the technologist.
Place socks on patients.
