Rad Tech Aide
About The Position
Highland Hospital is seeking a full-time CT Tech Aid to assist technologists and registered nurses with efficient patient flow. The position is scheduled Friday through Sunday, 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., for a total of 36 hours per week. The role includes supporting patients’ safety and comfort, helping patients move through the continuum of care, and assisting with procedure preparation and completion. The hourly pay range is $17.70–$22.92. Individual pay within the range is determined using factors including market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise, and internal equity.
Requirements
- High school graduation or equivalent experience.
- Computer skills are essential.
- No license or certification is required.
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of radiology office experience is preferred.
- Advanced computer skills, including eRecord, are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Monitor the patient schedule and promote efficient patient flow.
- Monitor the Radiology Information System to maximize patient flow.
- Answer phones and take messages as appropriate.
- Stock linens and supplies as needed and check expiration dates monthly.
- Help ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Assist with transferring patients on and off the scanning table.
- Assist with checking in patients.
- Navigate patients through the continuum of care.
- Escort or transport patients to and from the ED, waiting areas, and procedure areas.
- Assist technologists and nurses with procedure preparation and completion.
- Place stretchers in the lowest position and maintain a safe stretcher height during transfers.
- Change scanning-bed attachments as directed by the technologist.
- Place socks on patients.
