Requirements

• Must be a graduate of an accredited radiologic technologist program.
• A.R.R.T. registered in Radiology, state licensed in radiology by LSRT.
• Registered in at least two (2) post imaging modalities including the following: CT, MRI, Mammography, Ultrasound.
• Current BLS certification through any International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) provided courses such as but not limited to: Ochsner Health System, American Heart Association, and American Red Cross. The ILCOR course must include a manikin check off.

Nice To Haves

• Seven (7) years’ experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Proficient in multiple imaging modalities.
• Able to move between facilities and perform imaging duties on various types of equipment.
• Has knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care, including contrast injections.
• Must possess strong customer service skills and a versatile knowledge of all imaging equipment.
• Properly uses radiation protection devices, selects technical factors necessary to produce optimum quality images; processes those images and performs a variety of other duties.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with patients of all types and ages.
• Must possess strong guest relations skills.
